The Problem

B2B sales teams spend significant time on manual lead research, data enrichment, and qualification. At Datalogue, we needed to automate this pipeline while maintaining quality.

Architecture

The system uses multiple specialized LLM agents, each responsible for a specific task:

  1. Research Agent — gathers company information from public sources
  2. Enrichment Agent — adds financial data, tech stack, and decision-maker contacts
  3. Qualification Agent — scores leads based on configurable criteria
  4. Outreach Agent — generates personalized messaging

Key Results

Lessons Learned

Multi-agent systems require careful orchestration. The biggest challenge wasn't the individual agents — it was managing their interactions, handling failures gracefully, and ensuring consistency across the pipeline.

What worked well

  • Clear responsibility boundaries between agents
  • Structured output schemas with Pydantic
  • Comprehensive logging for debugging agent decisions

What I'd do differently

  • Start with simpler prompts and iterate
  • Build evaluation suites early
  • Use async processing for parallel agent tasks
